I am reaching out to seek support for Evan (Navajo), a dedicated Title VI Student Representative for CCSD’s Indian Education Committee and an outstanding young leader within our Native student community.
Evan is an active member of DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) and recently placed 2nd at the Nevada DECA State Career Development Conference. This incredible achievement has earned him the opportunity to represent Nevada at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) 2025 in Orlando, Florida, from April 25-30, 2025. He will be competing in this year’s International Career and Development Conference, a DECA Industry-validated competitive events program.
Support Evan’s Journey
To make this trip possible, Evan and his family need to cover approximately $1,300 in expenses, which include:
Airline transportation
Lodging
ICDC competition and registration fees
Conference materials
Transportation to and from event venues
This $1,300 total does not include food and additional personal expenses. We are seeking sponsorships to help offset these costs and ensure Evan can take full advantage of this career-enhancing experience.
Why Support Evan?
Evan has been an active participant in the Native Youth College Camp (NYCC) for the past three years, where he explored career pathways, including hospitality and business. His exposure to the hospitality program at UNLV during NYCC played a role in his decision to pursue DECA and develop his leadership and business acumen. His dedication to learning, leadership, and community service makes him an ideal representative for Nevada at the DECA ICDC 2025.
We would be grateful for any support you can provide, whether through direct sponsorship, financial assistance, or resource contributions to help Evan represent Nevada at this prestigious event.
If you or your organization are interested in sponsoring Evan or would like more information, please feel free to reach out. Thank you in advance for your time, consideration, and support in helping this young Native leader achieve his goals!
