Support Evan Shirley's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
I want to preface this by saying that we know our friends and family have huge hearts. We also know that times are hard, and many of you are experiencing your own crises. If you are one of those, please do not feel compelled to donate, as we are certain that God will provide. We do not want to create a crisis for someone else in the midst of attempting to help financially navigate this tragedy. Evan Shirley was involved in a terrible wreck early this morning on his way home from work, May 18th, 2024. He was airlifted to the trauma unit at Prisma hospital in Greenville(formerly Greenville Memorial Hospital). As of now, both legs are broken, one is shattered, and both hands are broken, as is his collarbone. He has multiple facial fractures, multiple bruises on his torso and a gash on his forehead. A portion of his colon/bowel has been surgically removed. He has bleeding behind his eyes and (prayerfully) minor brain bleeds. They put him in a medically induced coma at the scene; however, a brain scan has shown activity, and he has been moving his fingers. As his amazing significant other Sabrina stated, "the only thing on him that isn't broken is his arms.", and we hope his heart, drive and determination, as he is going to need it in the recovery process. She is going to be practically living at the hospital for the foreseeable future. The cost of being faithfully by his side is going to be huge, as the loss of his income is going to be heavily felt in their household, and her own income is sure to also be heavily impacted. This young man has already experienced major trauma in losing his mother almost ten years ago, and we want to do all we can to support and encourage him in what is definitely going to be a long and grueling process. If you are able, please give what you can to help facilitate his recovery and the endurance of his support group. We thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity, and we thank you all for your prayers and emotional support
