Help Bring Short Film "After the First" to Life

My name is Evan Klein, and I’m writing and directing a short film called After the First. As a recent drama school graduate, creating something deeply personal of my own has been a goal of mine. 

This project is my way of stepping into that challenge and telling a story inspired by one of the biggest changes in my own life.

After the First follows Harris, coming off a rough first year of college, as he tries to recreate the perfect night with his childhood best friends. But as the evening wears on, new tensions surface and the friends must face how much they’ve changed. Harris is left to confront whether holding on to the past is keeping him from truly moving forward. This story pushes back against the hardness often expected of men, leaning instead into moments of softness and vulnerability.
