Hello everyone,

I'll start with the highs: Ev is safe! Mishka (their incredible one-eyed-no-teeth cat) is alive, but escaped into the woods. BOLO for him! I'll follow up at the end with what to do should you catch a glimpse of him.

But here come the lows: A two-alarm, building-wide fire broke out in Ev's apartment complex on May 4th. The majority of their belongings have been damaged or destroyed as a result.

While Ev navigates not only the logistical and financial challenges, but the emotional as well, it's our job as their community to provide support!

We are so thankful that Ev made it out safe and unharmed, and for the friends and community that have embraced them in the direct aftermath with a place to stay, an ear to listen, and a shoulder to cry on.
