Eunji passed away yesterday on 03/16/2025 and her husband finally gave me an approval to share gofundme as he will be in great need for her funeral costs and more as he has not been able to work past several months taking care of Eunji full time not to mention their medical bills.

Any amounts you can donate will be such profound help for this family who has been struck with tragedy of losing a mom and a wife.

Eunji Song is a friend of mine who had been diagnosed with Pleural Mesothelioma in 2021. She had been treated in Korea with multiple chemo and immunotherapy but late last year, she made a very hard choice to come to USA where her little daughters were staying with her husband. Sadly, her recent visit to ER due to her unbearable stomach pain led her to find out she has stomach metastasis and her tumor is growing rapidly. Her local oncologist told her surgery is not an option and they are looking for clinical trial as time is ticking. They are also seeking consultation with MD Anderson but her insurance doesn't cover it. Depending on where her clinical trial location is, her travel cost is urgently needed as her husband's income is not enough to cover.

She could have been well taken care of in Korea with universal healthcare but she missed her daughters terribly. Now we are not even sure if she could ever make it back to Korea with current condition. We are desperately hoping for a miracle.
