Help Eunfurniture come back alive from the fire disaster!

Message from Eunhyun (Diana) -

"For almost 4 years it was a space that made many creations possible. It has become a place of inspiration where many ideas came to life. Many students have come and gone and many members' first sale of their wood creations happened. It was also a space where MY dream has come true - working with wood and furniture every waking day.

The fire

On Jan 10th 2025, a beloved wood shop burnt down around 6:30 am -

completely to the ground. It took everything overnight.

The machines melted and students' precious tools and all their hard work turned into ashes, not to mention my own office filled with my personal works.

The extensive fire affected nearby buildings as well.

The neighboring factory's whole roof was affected and warped.

The fire fighters sprayed water into the building that damaged all their materials. The residential buildings were nearby and few windows broken.

The hurdle

For nearly three weeks, I felt helpless, unable to take any action—until the fire department’s report was released. Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can: filing insurance claims, reviewing estimates for cleanup, demolition, new blueprints, and reconstruction.

Then came a harsh realization—my fire insurance would only cover half of what I need. The cost to rebuild the factory alone is 100 million won ($100,000 USD). Beyond that, there are demolition expenses, compensation for affected neighbors, equipment replacements, and the expectations of students and members who have been waiting.

I’m eager to move forward, but financial hurdles are holding me back.
