Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during a time of incredible difficulty for my brother Eugene, his wife Laurel, and their young son, Oliver. On January 8th, they lost their beautiful and cozy home in Altadena to the devastating Eaton Fire.
This house was so much more than a place to live. It was the home they bought as newlyweds, where they brought their son Oliver into the world, and where they built cherished memories as a family. This Sunday, we were supposed to celebrate Oliver’s 4th birthday there—a day meant to be filled with joy and laughter. Instead, they now face the heartbreaking reality of starting over from scratch.
While we are grateful that they are safe, the road ahead is overwhelming. Rebuilding their lives will require not only strength but also the support of those who care about them.
We’ve started this GoFundMe campaign to help with immediate needs such as temporary housing, clothing, and essentials, and to begin the process of rebuilding their home and their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring them closer to regaining a sense of normalcy.
If you’re unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your network would be a tremendous help. Together, we can show them that they are not alone and that their community stands by them in this difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support.
With gratitude,
Grace Lee
