In Loving Memory of Nick Hare
On October 21, 2025, we lost an incredible soul far too soon. Nick Hare passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unprecedented friendship.
Nick was everyone’s friend — always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh or a beer, or offer support when it was needed most.
If you were fortunate enough to know Nick, you knew that one of his greatest joys in life was his son, Ethen. Nick was immensely proud of the young man Ethen has become — hardworking, compassionate, and driven to make a difference in the world.
With your support, Ethen hopes to continue pursuing his dreams and honoring his father’s memory. Currently a senior at Plainfield Central High School, Ethen plans to study biomedical engineering and prosthetics in college — a field that combines innovation, compassion, and science to improve the lives of those with injuries or disabilities.
Before his father’s passing, Nick instilled in Ethen the values of perseverance and hard work — lessons that Ethen continues to live by every day. He ranks among the top 20 students in his class, excelling in AP, Honors, and college-level coursework. Beyond academics, he is deeply involved in his school community: performing in both the orchestral and marching bands (where he’s played clarinet and similar instruments for nearly nine years), serving as a member of the National Honor Society, and actively participating in math and STEM clubs. Ethen also gives back to his community by volunteering weekly as a tutor for middle school students.

In Ethen’s own words:
“Though my father has very recently passed, I will continue my work to better myself in hopes of being the man he sought for me to become — and to honor the man he was.”
