Donation protected
My name is Ethel Flavin. I am a volunteer at the Ventura Animal Shelter in Camarillo, CA. I have always loved animals, especially dogs and cats. At this shelter, we get a lot of donations, but not everything we get is used. So, I started thinking about how I can use these donations for the less fortunate animals in my country of origin, Nicaragua. In this underdeveloped country, the government does not have any program to help animals. It’s up to the people who are animal lovers to help, and they don’t have much either.
So, I started researching and found about 12 animal shelters in Managua. I have contacted two shelters so far. They have very limited resources. These people struggle every day to save, feed, rescue, and medicate these animals. They count on only small contributions from friends and family members.
The shelter in Camarillo has been very kind when I approached them with my idea of helping the shelters in Nicaragua. They have given me a lot of things they can’t use.
Now comes the hard part, which is to send these things to Nicaragua, and that’s where you come in.
I have already sent one big box, but it cost me $330.00.
I am getting ready to send a second one, but I need help.
I also am planning on sending some money every so often.
If you are kind enough to help with whatever you can, it will be a big help.
Thanks so much
