Hi everyone,

My name is Ethan, and I’m from Altadena, California. I attend Thurgood Marshall High School, and I’m reaching out during a really difficult time in my life. Recently, I was directly affected by the Eaton fires, which caused unexpected hardship and financial strain for me and my family.

Despite everything, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to travel to New York with my school jazz band. This trip is a meaningful educational experience that will allow me to learn from professional musicians, perform, and immerse myself in the heart of jazz culture. It’s an opportunity that could truly help shape my future.

Because of the impact of the fires, I’m struggling to afford the costs associated with this trip. The funds raised would go toward my New York jazz band trip as well as my basic needs while I’m there, including food, clothing, and other essential expenses. This support would help relieve some of the stress caused by recent events and allow me to focus on learning and growing during this opportunity.
