My name is Grant, and today I come to you with an urgent plea for help. A devastating event has shaken the lives of my best friend Jeff and his family, leaving them in an unimaginable situation. On the night of July 28th, 2023, a reckless drunk driver crashed into their vehicle, causing a rear-end collision that has forever changed their lives.

Inside that vehicle were Jeff, his courageous 3-year-old son Ethan, his 5-year-old daughter Anna and his girlfriend Newi, who is almost 7 months pregnant. The aftermath of the accident has plunged them into a world of despair and uncertainty. Precious little Ethan bore the brunt of the impact and was medevacked to Queens Hospital on Oahu, where he currently remains in the ICU.

Ethan's condition is critical, and he's bravely fighting while being intubated with feeding and breathing tubes. The path ahead is filled with challenges, as he is expected to undergo facial reconstruction surgery. Additionally, the family awaits news from an eye doctor, who will determine whether the injury to one of Ethan's eyes will cause long-term effects on his vision.

Amidst this heart-wrenching struggle, Jeff finds himself torn between being at his son's side in the hospital and providing for his family. The costs of Ethan's care, combined with the financial strain of Jeff's absence from work, have further compounded the family's challenges. Additionally, the scheduled start of preschool for Ethan and Anna on August 7th, 2023 – a milestone now overshadowed by tragedy – weighs heavily on their minds.
