Support Ethan's Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind‑hearted strangers,

I’m writing on behalf of Ethan Rhoades, a 21‑year‑old Aggie whose life was abruptly upended by a diagnosis no one ever expects to hear: stage 4 non‑Hodgkin’s Burkitt lymphoma. This is a very rare, aggressive cancer of the B-cells, a type of white blood cell.

He will be receiving treatment and care from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. The treatment time will range from 6-9 months, starting July 25th. With the proper treatment, care, and attention, there is a great chance of success with the treatment to be administered. Ethan shows his optimism in beating cancer once and for all!

We are raising funds to help cover his medical expenses ranging from chemotherapy, medications, lab work, transportation to and from treatment, hospital stays, and basic living expenses.

Ethan Rhoades is Aggie spirit in human form. Growing up in Friendswood, Texas, he learned early on about the value of community and hard work—values he now channels into everything he does at Texas A&M University. Ethan is heading into his senior year majoring in Agricultural Leadership & Development. He recently joined the executive committee of Kappa Sigma as the Internal Vice President and also serves as the Internal Vice President for the Interfraternity Council (IFC), balancing chapter needs with the wider Greek community.

More importantly, Ethan cherishes every moment with family and friends and never fails to make those around him feel treasured. His compassionate and selfless qualities shine with every choice he makes. His first instinct is to always ask, "What can I do to help?" Alongside this, he never fails to put a smile on the faces around him while always having one himself. His optimism is unshakeable. Simply put, Ethan is a genuine, kind person who deserves all of the support and help one could get!

We want to help alleviate any financial burden so that Ethan can focus entirely on healing. If you're unable to give, sharing this fundraiser with friends and family would mean the world!

Out of respect for Ethan, I cannot say at this moment in time if updates will occur in order to respect his privacy in this very vulnerable, scary time, but prayers and praises to this thread as Ethan begins treatment are heavily encouraged!

Thank you so much for the overwhelming love and support that everyone has shared with Ethan as he knows he isn't and will never face this battle alone!
