My name Is Rose Thompson, my son Ethan Thompson a 2010 graduate of Green Ohio was diagnosed with acute liver failure on June 28 2025. On August 10, 2025 he was life flighted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota, and we were told if he had not got there then he only had about a week to live. He was blessed to be put on the top of the transplant list, and received a donor liver on August 16 2025. During surgery a blood clot entered his heart, although they were able to break it up before it caused damage. The surgeon informed us only 10% of the people make it through this type of clot.

After five weeks in Rochester, he is now home. He works as a front end supervisor at the Canton Sam's Club, but will be off work for at least four months due to rehabilitation. The bills are starting to come in. He is a great person and volunteered for the Bikers for Boobs poker run benefitting those with breast cancer for many years. He could really use help. Not only with the bills, but he will now be on anti rejection medicine for the rest of his life. Its all adding up fast, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
