On Saturday 12th July, while playing for Barnsley Woolley Miners Cricket Club 2nd XI at Shaw Lane, our much loved teammate and friend Ethan Shillito suffered a horrific ankle dislocation and break while fielding the ball in what can only be described as a freak accident.

The severity of the injury means Ethan will be off work for several months. He now faces a long road of surgery, rest, and rehabilitation something no young dad should have to navigate alone.

Ethan is a hard-working family man, devoted to his partner Ash and their beautiful 2-year-old daughter Payton. As the primary earner, this sudden and serious injury will place a real financial strain on them during a time when all energy should be focused on healing and staying strong as a family.

We are setting up this fundraiser to help relieve some of that pressure covering essential household bills, living costs, and giving Ethan peace of mind as he recovers.

Ethan has always given his all, both on the cricket field and at home. Now we’re rallying behind him, the way he has always supported others.
