On February 14th, our dear friend Ethan Schulz suffered a devastating accident. He fell down the stairs, fracturing the back of his skull. The impact caused multiple brain bleeds and significant swelling.

Since then, Ethan has been in the ICU, sedated and intubated as his medical team works tirelessly to stabilize him. He currently has intracranial pressure monitors (ICPs) placed on either side of his head to help manage the swelling and protect his brain. He is also battling complications, including low platelets, low oxygen levels, and pneumonia.

This is every family’s nightmare, and it happened in an instant.

Right now, Ethan’s fight is focused on survival and stabilization. The road ahead will be long. After his ICU stay, he will require extensive inpatient rehabilitation to begin the process of recovery. Brain injuries do not heal overnight. They require time, specialized therapy, and incredible strength.

If you know Ethan, you know how deeply he cares about others. He is the kind of friend who shows up without being asked. An incredible son. A devoted brother. A loyal friend. He has a huge heart and a quiet strength that has impacted so many lives.

Now, he needs us to show up for him.

The financial burden of prolonged ICU care and inpatient rehabilitation will be significant. These funds will go directly toward medical expenses and the long recovery process ahead.
