Help Ethan Pittman Represent at the Math League National & International Championships!
Hi everyone,
Our names are Matthew and Torri Pittman, and we are reaching out to share some exciting news and ask for your support on a very special journey.
Our son, Ethan Pittman, has qualified for the Math League National Championships in Houston, Texas, from June 13–15, 2025. He accomplished this feat by placing in the top 10 at the Arizona State Championships this past week.
But that's not all!—Ethan also has the incredible opportunity to earn his way and compete in the Math League International Championships in Bali, Indonesia, from July 6–10, 2025, in the event he places in the top 10 at Nationals. Ordinarily, we would have waited to start this fundraiser until after his National Championships; however, with such a quick turnaround should he qualify, we wanted to start the process early, as we would have to arrange international travel in a tight window.
Ethan has always had a passion for numbers, patterns, and solving complex problems. Over the last couple of years, he’s spent countless hours practicing, participating in local math competitions, and pushing himself to achieve excellence. His recent qualification is not just a result of talent—it's the product of true dedication and grit.
Now, he’s ready to represent his school, his community, and potentially the nation on a global stage.
Why We’re Fundraising
We’re asking for your help to make this dream a reality and give him the incredible experience of competing in person at these prestigious events. The cost of travel, lodging, and related expenses for both events is substantial, especially considering the tight timeline between them. Your generous contributions will go toward:
- Travel and accommodation for Ethan and our family to Houston and Bali
- Event registration fees and competition-related costs
- Meals, local transportation, and other travel essentials
- Now we know qualifying for the International Championships is going to be difficult and could very well not happen. So with that in consideration, any additional funds raised will go directly to Ethan’s future math league competitions (he already plans to continue competing for the next couple of years) and/or an educational fund, supporting his long-term academic future.
We are incredibly proud of Ethan and want to ensure he has every opportunity to chase his goals without financial barriers. Whether it's $10 or $100, every contribution helps and means the world to us.
