UPDATE: 11/25/25
Ethan remains on life support at Lucille Packard. His diagnosis is still not clear but his symptoms keep stacking. Yesenia (his mom) remains at his bedside at every moment. This means she is unable to work or care for her three other children. We thank everyone for their contributions and prayers.
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for Ethan Fowler-Lopez, a bright and kind 18-year-old, senior at Salinas High School (son of Yesenia Lopez) whose life has been turned upside down by a severe neurological disease. What began as subtle symptoms has quickly progressed, leaving him struggling to walk and now even to breathe on his own. He is currently hospitalized, fighting every day with a strength that inspires everyone who knows him.
The road ahead is long and uncertain. Ethan will require an extended hospital stay, ongoing treatments, and specialized therapy to give him the best chance at recovery. These costs are overwhelming, and despite doing everything they can as a family, they cannot face them alone.
We are asking for support. Whether through donations or by sharing this page—to help ensure that Ethan receives the care, equipment, and rehabilitation he desperately needs. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to easing the immense burden on his family and giving him the best possible chance to heal.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. Your support means more to us than words can express.
