Hello! Our names are Jason and Deanna Camp, parents of Ethan Camp. I’m sure many Cazenovia residents will recognize him or may in fact know him well! When he was younger he started his first business going door to door selling custom duct tape wallets which he was very proud of! Or you may see him cooking behind the line at Dave’s diner in Cazenovia! He has worked hard much of his early adult life. Unfortunately Ethan is in a bit of a hard financial situation. Ethan graduated from Cazenovia High school this summer as Salutatorian. Ethan has big plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology in August. Ethan has received several scholarships including one from RIT however after applying for financial aid Ethan still needs to pay an additional $15,000 by December of this year. Ethan received a phone call a few weeks ago explaining he needs to come up with half of the tuition by August 15, 2024. Ethan has a job and has tried to save what he could and reached out to RIT for help and they gave him a few places to ask for a loan. At this moment Ethan is at Lake Champion for Young Life work crew serving his time for God and campers. Ethan will return on the evening of the 9th and won’t be able to apply for those loans until the 12th Monday, and he will have 3 days to come up with $8,000. As parents we are all struggling emotionally with this and if he doesn’t come up with the $8,000 he will not be able to go to college this semester and will lose all his scholarships which he has been awarded! As struggling parents financially, we aren’t able to contribute any substantial amount to help him in time and we desperately need help to ensure he gets to college! He has worked incredibly hard his entire school career and has the potential to accomplish great things but all of this will be forfeited if he doesn’t get to college this august. Please help Ethan!!
