Support Esther Seidl's Recovery

Donation protected
On the afternoon of Thursday, February 16, Esther Seidl’s life dramatically changed. She had an appointment for an MRI because she had been experiencing blurred vision, and severe neck and head pain. The MRI revealed a 5 cm mass in her brain. Esther was sent directly to the emergency room for evaluation. The ER physicians recommended she be transferred to Seattle ASAP for surgery to remove the mass. Family members visited, called, texted, and prayed as Esther spent the next eighteen hours in the ER awaiting her flight to Seattle. A friend who spoke to Esther on the phone asked, “Esther, why do you sound so calm?” Esther replied, “I know God is with me.” Esther was transferred to Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle on the morning of February 17th. Her specialist thinks the mass is most likely benign, but Esther will need surgery early next week to remove the mass. The recovery process will depend on how she responds to the surgery. (Her neurosurgeon is from Wisconsin, just like Mike. Let’s take that as a very good sign!) Mike is grateful to be able to be at Esther’s side through all of this, along with her mother, aunt, and other family members who are able to be in Seattle. At this time, it is unknown how long Esther will need to be in Seattle.

To know Esther is to love her. She has a heart full of compassion and kindness. She is active at her church and in her community, always giving of herself. She has been a dedicated teacher at St. Joseph Marquette for twelve and a half years. She is a loving wife to Mike, and a wonderful mother to Emma. She is an amazing, supportive friend to so many. This gofundme page has been created for the wonderful person we all know and love. It is intended to help with medical and living expenses as Esther undergoes surgery and other treatments that may be necessary on her road to recovery. Thank you for your generosity and support during this difficult time.
