"Hello, my darling

I am sending you this letter to request urgent assistance due to the difficult circumstances that my family and I are going through as a result of the ongoing war on Gaza.

I am Essam Samir, a resident of Gaza. My house was severely damaged by bombing and fighting and is no longer habitable. I also lost my job and was unable to provide basic needs for my family of 8 members.

We are a family from Gaza who were displaced from our homes due to the continuous bombing and attacks on residential areas, where our house was destroyed. We now live in a tent in Mawasi, Khan Younis, where it is extremely difficult to live due to the high temperatures, difficulty in obtaining food, and difficulty in cooking food due to the lack of money and cooking gas. We cook on fuel and because of the high prices and goods, there is no fixed income. In terms of health, there is a shortage of medicines and medical equipment and difficulty in accessing appropriate care. In terms of education, we were deprived of education due to the bombing of schools and universities, and I was deprived of completing my educational career, as I was studying at Al-Azhar University in the field of software engineering.

We are in desperate need of emergency assistance to provide shelter, food and healthcare. Any financial or in-kind assistance would be of great value to us in these difficult circumstances.

This is the letter Essam wrote, not only to me, to all of us. He was a student in Gaza, now he can't finish his education because his university was destroyed. His house was also destroyed. I am also a student in Spain, I study in the University of Valencia. He wrote to me as I'm sure he has written to many other people because right now solidarity is their main option to go through this difficult time. With your support this beautiful family will be able to meet their necessities, which would help to make this difficult situation a lot easier for them. This money will be used to cover essential items to live such as food, cooking gas, a gas cylinder, emergency healthcare and medicines as well as shelter. As he expressed in his letter, any assistance will be of great value. Please, if you can, consider giving a helping hand to my friend in Gaza and his family.
