Hey friends,
Have you ever had a God-appointment? One of those divine moments where, if you had made one small different choice—taken another exit, skipped that trip, stayed silent instead of saying yes—you would’ve missed something so life-changing, it’s almost scary to imagine.
That happened to me last October. On a girls trip in Puerto Vallarta, I got into a taxi and clearly heard the Holy Spirit say, “Ask him if he knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior.” I hesitated. I chickened out. So instead, I asked, “Are you from Puerto Vallarta?”
Then I told the Lord, “If he knows You, I’ll just know.”
Sure enough—I felt it in my spirit. So I blurted out, “You know Jesus, don’t you? Like really really know Him!”
He turned to me, eyes wide, and said, “Yes! He saved me from a life of drugs and death. I owe Him everything.”
The presence of God flooded that taxi. He told me he went to a church called Fuente De Olivos. I followed their Instagram, we prayed together, and that could’ve been the end.
But God was just getting started.
Fast forward to January—Hugo and I were back in Puerto Vallarta with the kids, and I was counting down the days to go to that church.
We called the same taxi driver. He took us 30 minutes into a humble neighborhood called Ramblases, where we walked into the basement of a home… and were met with a love so pure and welcoming, it could only be Jesus.
That day, we met Pastor César, Pastora Gladis, and their beautiful family. They wrapped us in hugs, spoke life over us, and have continued to pour into our lives. We’ve never encountered a more humble and powerful ministry.
They’ve become our spiritual mentors.
They’re discipling us. Walking with us. Covering us in prayer.
We truly cannot overstate what they mean to the Body of Christ—and to our family.
But now, they need us.
Yesterday, tragedy struck. Pastor César’s mother, Esperanza (“Hope”), was walking across the street in her neighborhood when she was hit by a Razor 4x4. She was rushed to the ICU, placed in a medically induced coma, and underwent emergency brain surgery for swelling in her brain. The road ahead is long and uncertain.
But all glory to God, Hugo and I happen to be here—right now—with their family.
We spent all day yesterday at the hospital—praying, covering them, and helping however we could. Because that’s what our Savior would do. He said, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.”
It’s our joy and honor to pour a little bit back into this family who has opened their arms and hearts so freely to us.
But they need more than we can give alone.
Would you help lift the weight of this crisis?
In Mexico, medical expenses are out-of-pocket—no insurance, no safety net. Every ICU hour, every surgery, every procedure—they have to cover it all. They wouldn't even start surgery to stop the swelling until they had a credit card payment. That surgery alone was $20,000.
We believe the American Church can be the hands and feet of Jesus right now.
Even $10 can make a difference. Even a share can stretch this story further.
We’re asking you to join us—so this family doesn’t have to walk this road alone.
Let’s love like Jesus.
Let’s give like we would want someone to give for our own mom.
Let’s be a miracle in the midst of the storm.
With humble hearts and deep gratitude,
Natalie & Hugo
