On May 29th, Angelina Resendiz went missing on the Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia. Angie was working on the USS James E. Williams at the time of her disappearance. Since her disappearance, the United States Navy has been quiet and ambiguous about searching for Angie. With all of the technology at the Navy's disposal, there is no reason for a sailor to go missing or stay missing. The Naval base is in a wooded area, and NCIS has refused to tell Angie's mother anything about the search. Angie's mother hopes to search these woods surrounding the base and hopes to have a protest calling for reform of the US Military's treatment of missing women cases.
We are asking for monetary support to help Esmeralda Castle, Angie's mother, to search for her daughter.
If you have any information about the disappearance of Angie, please contact the NCIS at 1-877-579-3648.
Update:
On June 9th a body was found less than 10 miles from Naval Station Norfolk; this body was confirmed to be Angelina Resendiz. The family, through their grief is calling for justice and reform. The timeliness in looking for Angie wasn't there, and as such she is asking for an investigation into her daughters disappearance and the lack of action that was taken.
Esmeralda, even with her call for justice, is making funeral arrangements for her daughter. We ask for monetary support so that Esmeralda can help pay for these expenses while still searching for answers.
