Esmeralda is my mom, and we are very close. She has always worked hard to support our family, but recently she was hurt at work and everything changed. Now, she can't work like she used to, and it's become really difficult for her to pay rent and bills. Our family depends on her, and seeing her struggle has been very hard for all of us. The doctors have told her she needs surgery, and her recovery will take at least six months.
