Support Esmeralda's Fight Against Uterine Cancer

Hello,

My name is Vanessa Gutierrez, and I'm starting this GoFundMe to help my good friend Esmeralda Irizarry fight endometrial/uterine cancer. Those who know her will tell you she is a caring friend who is always there to listen and support you, the one who offers a shoulder to cry on during tough times, and the one who will celebrate your successes with genuine joy. She’s always been one of the first to offer help whenever someone needs it, always going above and beyond, constantly getting recognition company-wide for caring and helping others.

About 3 weeks ago, she was given the worst news anyone could have ever gotten; she learned that what started as a simple biopsy turned out to be uterine cancer. Her doctor decided to be very aggressive and started treatment right away. She has been going to numerous doctor’s appointments to get bloodwork, scans, treatments, etc.

My hope is that this fundraiser will take away any monetary worries she has so she can focus on healing.

Money is a concern for most of us in the current economic climate, but finances are especially tight for Esmeralda and her family.

Despite being in pain, feeling ill, and being emotionally and physically tired, she still looks forward to going to work, helping people, and being there for her team. In the face of her diagnosis, she remains hopeful and unafraid — her trust in God and the support of her family and friends are driving forces in her life.

She doesn’t know how long this journey is going to take, but one thing is for sure, it is going to be a costly one. Please help me take some of the financial burden off of her shoulders by contributing what you can. Esmeralda and her family will be forever grateful for your donation.
