Hello my name is Esmé, I am a 25 year old, black trans femme educator and filmmaker in NYC. Unfortunately like many of us, my family home where I was residing no longer became safe for me. After a violent altercation with my father I was promptly kicked out or else I was to deal with law enforcement for an incident I did not initiate. I've been lucky enough to have been couch surfing since May, however when the school year ended my job did as well. With most sublet's just out of reach of my current budget, I have to swallow my pride and ask my community for support during this dire time. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, do not let me become another unhoused trans woman. All funds will go towards housing including: deposit and moving fees, the first month's rent is already covered.
