We thought we had more time to raise money, but everything is happening faster than we anticipated. The funeral home received our sweet girl this morning, and they want to hold her private viewing tomorrow morning. I still need to get an outfit for her. We need to come up with $862 by tomorrow to cover the hospital transport, cremation, viewing, her urn ( they didnt have the one we wanted) and handprints. I hate to ask, but we could really use some help. If you're able to contribute gofundme, Cash App, or Venmo. My Cash App is $ch3rryb0mbxx, and my Venmo is @ch3rryb0mbxx. If you could share this post, I'd be incredibly grateful. I just want to do everything I can for our girl. Any leftover funds will go towards supporting our remain twin baby.
On February 19, 2025, our precious twins R and E were born 15 weeks premature, at just 24 weeks and five days. They were one minute apart, and despite their tiny size, they were healthy and perfect. E spent 11 incredible days with us, and every moment was a gift. She was a feisty little girl, but she was also sweet and perfect. She fought hard until the end. E was healthy until complications arose during a procedure to insert her picc line, which led to a staph infection that caused her kidneys to fail and her potassium levels to spike, her heart failed because she couldnt pee to clear out the potassium. We're devastated by her loss, and we wish she was still with us.
Now, we're focused on giving her a beautiful sendoff and continuing to support R, who's still in the NICU. The daily trips to the hospital are expensive, 60 miles round trip..and now we have funeral expenses to cover. No parent should have to say goodbye to their child. We're heartbroken, but we're determined to keep moving forward. Any donations will go directly towards E’s final care expenses and R’s ongoing support. R is a fighter, and he's growing stronger every day. He now weighs 2 pounds and 8 ounces. He's working to overcome a heart condition called PDA, which is common in premature babies. Today, his medical team will try to extubate him and switch to a different breathing vent. We're hoping this will help him breathe more easily and reduce the risk of complications. R’s older siblings are eager to bring him home, but the loss of E has been especially hard on them. They only got to spend a short time with her, and saying goodbye was incredibly difficult. We want to make E’s sendoff a celebration of her life, so her siblings can remember her with joy and know that she's no longer in pain.
