Hi everyone, I am starting this fundraiser to benefit the Vega family. Last Thursday, Eron Sr. slipped on the ice and broke his leg in four places requiring emergency surgery. This injury will put him out of work for at least 2 months. Thankfully he has disability insurance but it does not cover his full salary or any overtime which the family relies on. Eron has always been a great support to the Evanston community especially the baseball community offering much of his time, energy and heart to everyone he encounters. “Father Vega,” as the boys call him, ran off season practices, threw batting practice and hit grounders to anyone who reached out, offered endless advice, support and encouragement to the whole team(s) and loved having the boys over to cook them a meal before a big game. He has done so much for so many and now he needs our help. No amount is too small. If you are able to give, it would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.
