Support Erno & Emoke's Fight Against Cancer

Hi my name is Csaba [Chaba] and I am fundraising for our friend Erno & Emoke Demeter. We have known Erno and his family for more than a decade. Erno is a hard working truck driver who had his own business. About a month ago his only truck broke down and totaled, it could be only sold for parts and only for the 5% of what it was worth. Erno bought another truck after that, for monthly payments, but he had reoccurring stomach pain and diarrhea and he went to see doctors several times since January. According the doctor he ate some bad food and prescribed him some antibiotics. He had three rounds of antibiotics. The symptoms disappeared for a short time but they came back. Since January Erno only worked for about a month because of the diarrhea and stomach pain. The family's finances are depleted. When he started to work to catch up financially, that is when his truck broke down. That is his livelihood. He bought the other truck and now he has a monthly payment of $1,600. He just started to work with the new truck when the symptoms came back and he was taken to the ER and from there to Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa OK on 6/10/2024. This is where he learned that his problem is more that he was thinking. He was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. He had a surgery, they put a stent in the bile duck at the mouth of the pancreas to help him with eating and digesting, and they took a sample from the pancreatic mass for biopsy. The doctors called him back on the 18th to tell him the diagnosis and that they are considering chemotherapy for 3 months and another complicated surgery after that.

Emoke has an office job and they have two of the three young adult, teenager sons at home with them.

Itt tanulta meg, hogy a problémája inkább az, amit gondolt. 3. stádiumú hasnyálmirigyrákot diagnosztizáltak nála. Megműtötték, stentet helyeztek az epekacsába a hasnyálmirigy szájánál, hogy segítsék az evést és az emésztést, a hasnyálmirigytömegből vettek mintát biopsziához. Az orvosok 18-án visszahívták, hogy elmondják neki a diagnózist, és azt, hogy 3 hónapig fontolgatják a kemoterápiát, majd egy újabb bonyolult műtétet.

Emőkének irodai munkája van, és a három fiatal felnőtt, kamasz fiuk közül kettő van velük otthon.
