UPDATE:

Ernie has had a blood transfusion as her red blood cell count went dangerously low, and we are on schedule to see an echocardiogram for a new heart murmur. She made it through the transfusion great, just waiting for the results of another blood screen. We are so thankful for you all, your kindness has really kept me going and my spirits up the last few days.

Ernie needs help at the vet! We’re in the discovery phases right now and just checked in over overnight hospital treatment. Ernie is fighting a very high fever and abdominal pain. X rays and bloodwork is not showing the exact cause, so now we are working on stabilization. Next up is an ultrasound to see if there is further intestinal issues.
