This is Ernie Bassett. Ernie wandered off and was gone for 3 weeks. He was hit by a truck on the highway. Ernie is emaciated and suffers from a broken jaw, and appears to be blind. We don't yet know if his brain is damaged. Ernie needs surgery for his jaw and CT scans for his head. These procedures will have to be done at a specialty clinic, and are going to be very costly. I have had several people reach out to me, wanting to help with these costs. I sincerely appreciate everyone who is concerned with the health and well-being of this sweet boy. He has a hard road to recovery in front of him.
