Support Ernie Taliaferro's Medical Journey

Friends, family and Kappa Sigma brotherhood,

We are reaching out to enlist your help in supporting our beloved Ernie Taliaferro. Recently, he underwent a below-the-knee amputation and is now receiving dialysis three times a week.

While he’s shown immense strength and resilience, his home needs renovations to ensure he can navigate his daily life with greater ease, independence, and dignity.

As a dedicated House Director for Kappa Sigma, Ernie has been there for many of us over the years, always with a kind word, advice, or helping hand. Now, it’s our turn to help him.

Our goal is to raise funds for critical home modifications that will make his living environment safe and accessible. These include installing a stairlift, wheelchair ramps, and remodeling the bathroom to meet handicap accessibility standards.

Additionally, the ongoing expense of transportation to his thrice-weekly dialysis appointments and other medical visits has been overwhelming, with costs exceeding $500 a week, as his insurance does not cover these services.

Your support will help Ernie live out his retirement years in comfort, allowing him to maintain the independence he so cherishes. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
