Ernie Akers recently had two car accidents and several bad falls that resulted in emergency surgeries on his neck and low back to alleviate extreme pain and loss of function. He is now in Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital. He may need months of rehabilitation and recovery time before he can return to work. Your donations would assist Ernie in covering his living and recovery expenses.
Ernie is a good friend to many and has given tirelessly over the years to his acupuncture clients and thousands of veterans and their families. Ernie has a big heart and a love for knowledge of all things acupuncture and oriental medicine. He graduated from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas, and has been serving San Antonio since 2001.
Since January, 2012, he has gladly and passionately shared his knowledge and talents with Vet TRIIP, a San Antonio non-profit organization which provides free integrative medical services for veterans, service members and their families. Ernie’s has been instrumental in developing treatment protocols that result in relief of intense symptoms of pain and stress associated with injuries and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for veterans, service members and their families.
Please make a donation that helps Ernie get back on his feet and fully recover. His bills won't stop coming due. Every dollar will help Ernie keep his bills paid so he can focus on his recovery.
Thank you for your donation.
