After two long years of waiting, our dear friend Ernest Vargas has finally received the life-saving kidney transplant he desperately needed. While this is a blessing and a new beginning, it also comes with unexpected challenges.

Because of the surgery and necessary recovery time, Ernest will be unable to work for the next six weeks. As many of you know, being out of work can put a real strain on someone financially—especially while healing from a major medical procedure.
