Support Ernesto: Firefighter's Home Lost

On April 27th, 2025, the Balsam Fire destroyed 6 structures in Grants, NM, including the home of Ernesto Fernandez, a US Forest Service Firefighter.

Ernesto has been with the Mt. Taylor Ranger District for several years and is part of a multi-generational family of Wildland Firefighters. He is a valued member of our community and our firefighting team. Even while his home was being destroyed, Ernesto threw himself at the fire and assisted with suppression efforts, so that other homes could be safe.

Our goal is to help Ernesto raise funds to replace some of the items lost in the fire.
