Support Ernest Upchurch's Battle with Cancer

Ernest Upchurch (AKA Uppy) is the Chaplain of the Bryan Fire Department, a former firefighter and a lifelong resident of Bryan/College Station. Uppy has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. There aren't enough words to describe the amount of love and compassion Uppy provides for everyone he meets. He spreads his joy for life and God through his many roles: ranging from "Cookies with Santa", recruiting for the Citizens Fire Academy, counseling and supporting citizens who have just lost everything in a fire or providing a much needed shoulder to lean on for our first responders as they cope with the daily tragedies we encounter. The list of his selfless actions goes way beyond what we are capable of writing here. Uppy has touched so many lives in our community through his roles as a spiritual leader, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
As we have all heard or know through our own unfortunate experiences, medical bills can mount quickly. If your life or someone you know or care about, has been touched in some way by this wonderful man and his family, please consider making a donation. We understand that many are not financially able to donate, your prayers are just as valuable! Together, with the support of the community and the fellowship of the fire service, we will stand with Uppy and his family as he rides to victory over this demon we call "Cancer"!
