On Friday the 17th my brother Jared stayed home from work, something he never does. My sister n law Erlinda didn't feel well and while she was studying in her room she voice texted “help”. He ran to her and found she was seizing and choking, violently ill. Erlinda was taken to the hospital by ambulance where she continued to have seizures and went unconscious.

She is currently in a coma, but has been able to communicate through squeezing her hand and responding with tears (which has brought so much hope).

The doctors are still figuring out the diagnosis and are talking about sending her to OHSU.

My brother Jared and their two children are by her side along with family.

Erlinda just started a new job so her health insurance hasn’t kicked in, and my brother is unable to work as he is with her every minute possible.

Right now they need our support, while they focus on getting through this heartbreaking time.

Anything you can give would mean the world, no amount is too little.

Erlinda has so much light and fire, I believe in my heart that her strong spirit is fighting to be back with us all right now.
