Dearest Gentle Reader,
It’s with the up most pride I am here asking our community to come together to help the most passionate person and business owner I know. Erin. Erin has a heart of wild flowers, she has been strong enough to rise through unthinkable trials and tribulations, and able to grow and flourish even in the most broken places.
Erin started Healed by The Hound in 2016 with a mission to make the world for our furfriends a better and safer place because they’ve healed our worlds to be a better and safer place, while also being able to explore her true calling as a seamstress or as I like to call her, a modiste, because she is truly an artist.
A human as interesting and inspiring as Erin deserves to have her story told. I’d love to give you some background before I share her business mission and why I am here, simply because she is someone who undoubtedly makes the world a better place.
Erin has an undergrad in animal science and a masters degree in animal welfare, her passions are a part of who she is at her core. Erin experienced an unimaginable loss while finishing up college, and found her soul baby corgi, Soter. Soter wasn’t an ordinary pet, but was destined to be Erin’s soul savior and healer, thus, Healed by The Hound came to life also with the help of Erin’s faithful kitty, named Kitty! Erin worked a full time job ***“Insert where”** while managing HBTH, on top of managing a home as a wife of a fire fighter and fostering dogs through out all the years. On her 23rd foster in 2019 she met Bubba who instantly became part of the family, it was the most natural bond.
Then unfortunately, as life does sometimes- tragedy struck, viciously, unapologetically, and all at once during Covid. Erin, Again was forced to experience more unimaginable, and unexpected losses. Soter was put to rest in 2020, and Erin’s ex husband was in a tragic ATV accident and lost his life in 2021. When life does this to people, it’s easy to let it destroy you and crumble the world around you, but Erin woke up each day as a warrior, as a person who wasn’t going to let life take her gentleness and kindness away. Erin has never asked for help, not from her family, friends, or community- even when she was in her darkest days.
I say all that, to lead me into Erin’s, Healed by The Hounds passion story. I want to tell you about the unfathomable difference in dogs lives this brand has made and is destined to make, along with what we need to help it continue.
HBTH donates 15% of all earnings to dog charities and recuses across the county since opening 7 years ago. They have partnered with multiple rescues and charities by donating collars and helping to raise funds. Erin has organically grown her social media to over 10k followers and regularly supports rescues/ fosters on her page for adoption and medical needs. This brand is not a commercial brand with employees and time cards, this brand is a single person who pours every waking moment into her small business. Her top notch products, and giving heart deserves our support.
To Erin’s & HBTH’s thousands of entrusted supporters, dear companions, and new friends finding us here today, I am here to ask for help to keep this passion brand alive. Erin recently experience the loss of her beloved Kitty, and endured an unexpected illness while grieving her loss. Erin is one single person, fighting battles and climbing atrocious mountains all by herself. Her mental health is the most important thing in life, and right now she is fighting the fight alone when she doesn’t have to, because she has the love and support of her community. I am here to ask for help, help so Erin can keep her passion alive and help to keep her donations going to recuses and charities. I want to be a life raft to this beautiful person who is currently sinking. I say all this with love and compassion, I can’t bare to watch her brightness be dulled due to illness, loss, and inflation.
Today, I am asking for our tribe to rally around her. Please think about making a donation, I know the world is a tough place, if you are unable to donate please Share, Like, Comment, and Add the link to your bio.
It is not easy asking for help, so please give us grace. I thank you for taking the time out of your day to be here. Sincerely and forever grateful to each and every one of you.
With unconditional love,
Crystal Williams & Remy
