Support Erin's Fight to Save Pepper

My name is Erin Nickel and we have decided to try to crowdfund some money to put towards our beloved 6 year old poodle mix, Pepper. Her emergency vet bill is upwards of $5K and it has annihilated our savings account to where we can't have another emergency like this in the next year.

We're unsure, but all signs point to Pepper having Methylphenidate poisoning, which is basically saying we think she somehow found my son's ADHD medicine. This came in the form of a dropped pill that couldn't be found is all we can figure. When she arrived at the emergency vet, she was experiencing shaking, involuntary tremors, weird/erratic movements, panting, body temperature of over 105 and a heart rate well into the 200s. When the team started an IV to push fluids, this almost immediately sent Pepper into a prolonged seizure, which in turn caused the emergency care team to intubate her and place her under anesthesia to stop the seizure and try to save brain activity.

She stayed the same pretty much overnight until morning when she could not tolerate the breathing tube any longer. She is currently heavily sedated but breathing on her own. She is still having horrible tremors so she is on meds to try to combat them.

Pepper is the absolute BEST girl and I will be devastated if we lose her, especially over something like prescription meds that we should have tried hard to find. Any little bit helps as we fight to save Pepper's life. May God bless you and yours!!
