Support Erin's Battle with Stage 4 Melanoma

Hi! I've created this page to help a dear friend in an impossible situation. Many of you know and love Erin and have for many years. She is navigating the possible progression of her stage 4 melanoma and has shared a need with our tight-knit group of friends. We vow to help her figure out next steps as she makes some lifestyle shifts. She and her loving family would love your help!

As of this week, Erin made the difficult decision to step away from her job to give herself the time she needs to better address her health. Over the last few months, she's found it increasingly hard to manage the physical demands of stage 4 cancer alongside being a single mother and trying to keep it all together. She's been experiencing changes in her cognitive memory, battling daily nausea, fatigue, and exhaustion. She's been having to miss work more frequently to manage her ever-evolving lymphedema of her right leg. The latest news is that despite a stable scan at the end of January, a new possible progression was found in the right groin, which requires travel to and from her oncology team's office in Philly. These trips are frequent and involve testing and potential surgery to address this most recent development. With absolutely no income, Erin is faced with the reality that her choice leaves her vulnerable to the mounting medical bills, monthly rent, groceries, childcare, etc.

She's been so unbelievably humbled by her community thus far for the ways they've wrapped their loving arms around her and her children in the last year. You all have shown up by providing meals, sending gifts, spoiling her kids, giving your money and time, and most of all, sending prayers. We are asking for this again!

Erin is TRULY a fantastic human who has taught us ALL how to live life way before she got this diagnosis. I personally have learned so much about mothering, setting boundaries, and loving deeply from her. She is a dynamic, empathetic, hilarious, headstrong, driven, hardworking, and honest woman. Let's all come together and honor her and her family as they navigate the reality of her late-stage cancer. If you read this--SHARE!
