On Saturday, March 9, 2019, Erin Tillman was walking down the stairs at her home when she missed the last step and ended up on the ground. Her right foot went underneath her and she thought it was broken. She went to the local hospital in Clermont Florida and during their examination it was found that she had a very bad sprained foot. Because of her fall and out of an abundance of caution, her doctors requested a CT of her head. The scan identified that Erin had a brain tumor the size of a lime.
Erin was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center later that evening where further testing was done. She was then scheduled for surgery three days later on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
Erin’s surgery was 10 hours long requiring temporarily removing parts of her skull to allow doctors to remove the tumor from her brain. The doctor believes he did get the majority of the tumor but he cannot confirm that 100%. Thankfully the pathology results came back that the tumor was benign. However, this surgery was very invasive and will require some time for Erin to get back to her kind and energetic self. She is currently still in ICU and we expect her to be there for some time and longer in hospital care.
Erin’s recovery will take some time and she could possibly be out of work for 3 months or longer. Due to this long recovery time we are asking for donations to help Erin with her current living expenses and expected high medical bills. We want to relieve a concern so she is able to fully focus on her recovery.
Erin’s family asks if you pray please pray for Erin. If you don’t pray, please send positive thoughts her way. They know that God has his hands on Erin.
At this time she is not able to have flowers or food in her room and visitors are limited. We will provide updates on Erin’s recovery on this page.
