Support Erin Powell's Medical Recovery Journey

My name is Erin Powell, and I’m reaching out during one of the most challenging times in my life. In October 2018, I underwent gastric bypass surgery, hoping for a healthier future. Instead, it has been a nightmare of repeated complications, surgeries, and hospital stays.

Just two weeks after the initial procedure, I was rushed back to the hospital with a bowel obstruction. Over the years, my journey has included multiple surgeries for a kink in the jejunostomy, gallbladder removal, and even a reversal of the bypass itself earlier this year. Each procedure brought new complications, including sepsis, ICU stays, and blood clots that have left me on blood thinners for months.

In the past six years, I’ve endured over a dozen surgeries, countless setbacks, and an unimaginable amount of pain. Despite my determination, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Before this ordeal, I worked hard to support my family, but my health has kept me from being able to work full time. This year, I’ve made less than half of what I used to, leaving my amazing husband to carry the weight of supporting us both. He’s done so without complaint, but the stress on our family is enormous.

I never imagined asking for help, but I’m at a point where I have no other choice. The medical bills are piling up, and I need time to recover fully before I can work full-time again. If you can contribute, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me and my family.
