We are excited to announce "Driver's Seat," a thesis film written and directed by Erin De La Mota.

This drama follows Santiago as he struggles with the weight of generational trauma and abuse within his immigrant family. He finds himself torn between repeating the patterns of his ancestors and discovering the strength to break the cycle.

In her final year at the School of Visual Arts, Erin aims to shed light on a topic that is often underrepresented in media: the prevalence of abuse and trauma that affects families and their descendants, particularly within immigrant and ethnic communities.
