Erika Michelle Arana Morales is a vibrant, caring, and optimistic person who has always brought energy and laughter to those around her. She’s known for her intelligence, her love for animals, and her ability to lift the spirits of everyone she meets. Recently, Erika survived a brutal attack by her ex-husband, who attempted to take her life in the middle of the night at a trailer park. She suffered multiple stab wounds, including life-threatening injuries to her heart and lungs, and has undergone several reconstructive surgeries as a result of her injuries. The physical and emotional trauma has deeply affected Erika and our entire family. Her recovery is ongoing, and she is now facing the challenges of both physical rehabilitation and therapy to heal from the abuse and trauma. The fear and uncertainty have also impacted her son and our close family members, especially since her attacker remains at large.
