Dear friends and community,

This is not easy for me to write… but after everything that has happened, and with 11 months of recovery still ahead, I’m at a place where I need to reach out to my community—for myself, Oliver (16), and Sloane (14).

On June 18th, I had emergency surgery after severely injuring my right hand. I cut my hand and cut through tendons and a nerve—the damage was significant. An unexpected surgery followed on September 26th. It’s been an absolute WHIRLWIND.

Since July 18th, I have had zero use of my right hand and have atrophy in my wrist. I haven’t been able to work properly, and the stress of trying to keep up with simple daily tasks has been overwhelming and has created a lot of uncertainty.

If you’re able to help in any way, it would mean everything to us. Funds would go to basic needs.

If you’re unable to donate, I completely understand—simply sharing this with someone who might be able to help is just as meaningful.

On a positive note- I’ve gained sensation back in my hand and all my fingers except my index finger, which is to be expected. The swelling has gone down significantly and I’m now able to put on a sweater; I’m so grateful as it’s really cold in the mornings.
