Support Erika's Battle Against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Erika is a wonderful mother to seven remarkable children. Five of these children are still living with her, along with her aging mother. Erika is an entrepreneur who runs her own boutique selling clothing, accessories, shoes, purses, gifts, etc. She is dynamic, kind, intelligent, giving, funny, and sassy. She is always helping others and now it’s time to give back.
I wanted to start by telling you a little bit about who Erika is, because her cancer diagnosis is not her identity. A little over four years ago, Erika was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was given six months to live. Erika would not stand by and just accept that she would die. She researched and worked hard to find a fantastic team of doctors to help her beat this thing.
Recently, her insurance has stopped covering many of her treatments because, get this, she’s lived too long past her prognosis. It disgusts me that insurance companies can and happily do this to human beings.
To say the least, the last four years have been tough on Erika, and while she keeps getting closer to beating this, she has another bill to pay and she has to make tough choices. This month, she didn’t have the money to get her $2100 prescription. Choices like that set her back in her battle.
She is so strong and beautiful and good and kind. No one should have to shoulder this burden alone. I know many of you have supported previously, but please give as generously as you can. Erika’s birthday is August 16 and I’d love to have a giant gift for her.
While the goal of the campaign is $2100 to cover the prescription expenses, help me push that number way over!
Thank you for any support you can provide.
