Support Erika and Daughter After Fire Tragedy

A Day I Will Always Remember! It is with a heavy heart that I share this story. My name is Alex Campos, a cousin of Erika Delgado. After I left work on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, I immediately called my family due to the nearby wildfires. We are located 15 minutes south of Alta-Dena-Eaton Canyon, CA. I spoke to my wife to check in with her and my son. Thank GOD they were both doing fine. She had been watching the news and informed me that a wildfire had ignited in Alta-Dena. It was where my cousin, Erika, and her daughter Ellie lived. I called her and luckily I was able to speak to her. I was relieved that both my cousin and her daughter were ok too, "Thank God!" But unfortunately, she had just lost her home two hours before my phone call from the devastating Eaton Canyon fires. She was still in shock. I did not know how to respond. She said, "I didn't prep for this. I am now homeless." She had lost everything. I told her to count on me with anything: shelter, food, clothing. I was heartbroken. How will she sleep tonight? What is going on in her mind? I realized that I couldn't make an impact by myself so I was compelled to open a GoFundMe Account to help them get by for some months until she re-establishes herself and cover any unexpected costs to get back on their feet. My cousin is a single parent who has worked hard to provide for her daughter. She is a beautiful person inside and out. And has kept her faith throughout these difficult times. With your kindness and the funds raised, hopefully, she can provide her daughter with some security and stability for now. These funds will assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid. With your contributions, she and her daughter will know that they are not alone. She has been through many losses. This is enough. It's just not fair if you understand. I am certain some individuals can relate. And I understand many families across Los Angeles have been affected by the fires. However, I wanted to share her story. And it is the least I can do for her. If possible, please share the link with others. Your help will allow them to address many aspects of recovery and support them during their time of crisis. Thank you everyone for your support and generosity!
