Our dear friend Erik Schmid is going to have an emergency hemicolectomy surgery on July 9th to remove a cancerous mass (adenocarcinoma) in his colon.

Erik is the guy who gets things done. He’s the guy who ALWAYS shows up for his friends. He gives so much to others…and now we need to rally together to give him a helping hand.

He is self employed and won’t be able to work at all for several weeks after surgery. The hospital costs will be astronomical, and with no money coming in, it’s really going to be a very stressful time. There are a lot of unknowns at the moment until after surgery to see what the next steps will be regarding chemo and/or radiation.
