Support Erik & Danielle Kidney Transplant Journey
Donation protected
I'm Erik's Mama Bear, Ginna. I'm also his in-home care provider. Erik is living with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Erik is 35 years old, he was diagnosed/born with CKD. Erik was born at 26 weeks, he was a preemie at a weight of 641 grams, that's 1lb 10oz. He was in NICU for 4 1/2 months and the doctors gave Erik a 1% chance of survival. Erik has obviously surpassed that 1% chance of survival... here he is today at 35 years of age. I knew in my heart he was born for more in this life. Erik also has Cerebral Palsy from birth, but you would never know. He has made such a beautiful impact on everyone's life that he meets, it blows my mind, the impression he makes on people and that they recognize him and remember him wherever we go.
I'd also like to share with you that not only are we on a kidney transplant list for Erik, but we have a living kidney donor that will be donating a kidney to our son on September 17th this year, 2024. This Beautiful Amazing Angel was a client of mine for 20+ years. It is no accident that God had a plan for our lives to meet (and we both believe this).
This GoFundMe will be helping two families. It will be helping Erik with some unforeseen medical bills, immunosuppressant medicine that can cost up to $3500 per med and he'll be taking up to 22 meds. It'll help with any time myself or Ron will need to take off work to take care of him during his healing process and etc.
Also, our amazing donor and husband, we will be hosting up to 5 weeks in our home but they will be staying in a hotel or Airbnb close to the Hospital right after surgery in case of any complications for a week.
The cost of all these things don't seem much but add up quickly, especially in these times. The most we can ask for from you is your heartfelt prayers and your beautiful light shining our way. Please keep our Erik and our Danielle in your heart, in your thoughts, and in your constant prayers, ask the Lord to please guide these Doctors, Nurses, Surgeons and all involved in this beautiful transplant surgery by His divine will. Be Still.
