Hey guys, well I'm coming to you once again to ask for your help. On October 16th of 2024, I was in a serious car accident. I suffered a broken back in two places, a broken neck, I broke all of my ribs, I shattered my tibia and fibula of my left leg in too many places to count, multiple small facial cranial fractures, I severed the blood supply to my right femur causing my hip bone to become necrotic resulting in a total hip replacement, and lastly, a moderate tear of my right rotator cuff and a 50% or greater tear of the labrum. Also, my left ear was traumatically amputated. Over the past year, I've had several operations to try to patch me back together. Hopefully, my last surgery will be November 19th.
I currently lost my job approximately a month before my operation. My doctors were skeptical about me even working with the injuries that I still have, but they allowed me to go back to work with restrictions because of my financial constraints. I will not be able to go back to work for approximately 8 to 12 weeks post-surgery. So, I will probably not be able to work until sometime after the new year. I have applied for every local, state, and federal program available to try to help me cope with my loss of income, but the gaps are still there and my bills are mounting quickly. I could really use your help making ends meet. I assure you that as soon as I am able to use my right arm, the very day the doctors clear me to go back, I will be back to work. I realize that this falls on the holiday season and most people's budgets are extremely tight this time of year, but if you can, if you have the means, could you please help support me through this difficult time? I assure you it will get paid forward. If you don't have the means to help financially, please share this campaign. Every time you share this campaign, you potentially help me pay a bill or go to the grocery store. To those of you who have donated in the past, thank you so much and I love each and every one of you. To those of you thinking about donating, I assure you that I will do my best to pay it forward as best I can. Thank you all and God bless you!
Eric
Ps. In case you're wondering, I did file for unemployment, but due to clerical errors, I have not received a check. They are currently still reviewing some financial records before they can release my benefits. Somehow my former employer did not report my income for the months of October, November, and December of 2024 and January, February, and March of 2025. That left me just shy ($87) of the base wage minimum requirements to be eligible for benefits. I filed a dispute and submitted 4 plus months' worth of pay stubs proving that I did in fact pay into the system those missing months. If you pray, please pray that this situation gets resolved quickly and in my favor. Thank you guys, I love all of y'all!
