Help Us Get our Dad Into a Safe Memory Care Home
Our dad is currently facing one of the hardest chapters of his life. After a rapid decline from dementia, he now needs full time memory care and support for daily living. Like so many families navigating this disease, we were unprepared for how quickly things would change.
We have found a memory care community where he could truly live with dignity. It is a warm, home like environment with access to the outdoors, activities, and compassionate staff who specialize in dementia care. Sadly, the facilities fully covered by Medicaid are very different environments and often feel more clinical and isolating.
This community will allow him to spend his days somewhere that feels comfortable, safe, and humane while we wait for Medicaid eligibility to begin.
To bridge that gap, we are trying to raise $20,000, which would cover the initial months required before Medicaid assistance begins.
As a family we are selling what we can, including his guitars and truck, to help cover the cost. Any contribution, no matter the size, would help us give my dad a place where he can live with dignity and quality of life during this incredibly difficult stage.
If you are able to donate or share this page, we would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for helping us care for someone who has meant so much to so many.
